IYC-JOLIET is pleased to welcome eleven newly hired Juvenile Justice Interns to their facility. Their journey began on June 29th 2009, at the Academy in Springfield, where they received intense training to work with all caliber of youth that reside at the facility. Since their arrival on July 31st, the Interns have been participating in “on the job” training and “job shadowing” with seasoned Juvenile Justice Specialists. New JJS Intern Celeste Thomas expressed her excitement about beginning her new journey and the initiation of a new career.
